The overflight of the archipelago is indescribable with all its range of colors, dark blue to light emerald green as its vast expanses of white sand passing from orange to yellow gold.
The Bazaruto Archipelago also has several important nesting or resting sites for seabirds. A small population of Nile crocodiles haunts the remotest corners (living testimony of an ancient cordon connecting the islands to the mainland), while dugongs, sea turtles, dolphins and humpbacks (humpback whales) are visitors regular or seasonal.
